Srinagar police solves hit and run case 

Srinagar June 01: Today Srinagar police solved a hit and run case. Police showed their brilliancy and solved the case within hours of accident on the highway. The driver has been arrested and vehicle has been seized.

An Unknown vehicle hit a cyclist 28 yrs old Sajad Hussain Rather son of Ali Mohammad Rather resident of Balahama at Panthachowk. The driver got panic and fled from the spot. The injured is shifted to the hospital for treatment. A police party of Pantha Chowk made a rapid action and seized the suspect vehicle Chota Hathi bearing registration no. JK01T/7317 that was dumped by the driver at Baba Demb, Srinagar within hours of the accident.

The accused person name is Mr. Syed Rashid Ashraf resident of Khonmuh

He is into custody and his vehicle is seized.

 FIR No. 42/2015 under section 279, 337/RPC is registered against the accused driver and investigation has been taken up.
