India's Moon rover finds sulphur and navigates craters on the lunar surface

Pragyaan, India's Moon rover, has confirmed the presence of sulphur and other elements near the lunar south pole.

The rover’s laser-induced spectroscope instrument detected aluminium, iron, calcium, chromium, titanium, manganese, oxygen and silicon on the lunar surface, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said.

The Chandrayan-3 Rover is expected to conduct experiments over 14 days, as it searches for signs of frozen water that could help future astronaut missions, as a potential source of drinking water or to make rocket fuel.

The rover also will study the moon’s atmosphere and seismic activity.

As the rover roams around the mission's landing point, named the Shiv Shakti point, it has covered a quite a distance. Pragyaan travels at a speed of 1cm per second, and now has covered a distance of eight meters.

On Sunday, the rover’s route was reprogrammed when it came close to a four-metre-wide (13-feet) crater.

“It’s now safely heading on a new path,” the ISRO said.

Priyanka Chopra tried committing suicide: Former manager Prakash Jaju claimed

Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra attempted suicide three times during her struggling days including in 2002 after the death of her alleged former boyfriend Aseem Merchant’s mother, her ex-manager Prakash Jaju claimed on Sunday (April 3), reports the Indian Express.

 In a series of tweets, Jaju said the 33-year-old “Quantico” star was extremely close to Merchant’s mother and did not take her demise well.

“PC was very close to Aseem merchant’s mother, her death in 2002 shattered her so much that she tried to jump off karan apt to commit suicide,” Jaju wrote.

“I reached at nick of time and caught hold of her and tied her to a chair till grills were fixed in all the windows of the flat.”

The celebrity manager added he wanted to make a point “that suicidal tendency is in most of the girls of film industry.”

“PC may look very strong now but she was also very vulnerable in struggling days, tried to commit suicide 2-3 times but I managed to stop her,” he wrote.

Jaju said Priyanka and Aseem used to fight on daily basis and on one such night, the actress attempted suicide.

“Daily PC and Aseem used to fight…She used to call me at 2 am in the night, crying…and I used to take her from Aseem’s house, make her understand and drop her at her home.

“Once madam went to Vasai to attempt suicide after fighting with Aseem. I got her back. Girls don’t act intelligently at the age of 18-19.”

It's common knowledge that PC and her ex-manager Prakash aren't on good terms. Things apparently had turned bitter when PC allegedly abruptly terminated Prakash's contract, and Prakash filed a criminal lawsuit against the actress in the Mumbai court. In 2008, Priyanka's father filed a suit against Prakash for intruding his daughter's privacy and Prakash ended up serving 67 days in prison.

Prakash put out a series of tweets on how stars are at their most vulnerable during their struggling days.
