Karnataka government clarified it was not responsible since the ads were released by agencies contracted for the event in Malaysia.
An advertisement released by Government of Karnataka in a Malaysian newspaper where JAMMU AND KASHMIR and NORTH-EAST was missing. Its a major Faux pas as newspaper showed a distorted map of INDIA.
This mistake was pointed out by the OPPOSITION PARTY BJP, and called it a major lapse by the CONGRESS GOVERNMENT and asked the tourism department of Karnataka to shred light over it and explain.
The government, however, washed its hands off the controversy, saying it was not responsible since the ads were released by agencies contracted for the event in Malaysia.
